Our Journey
Founded in the year 2000, from our humble origins to becoming a beacon of traditional Indian physical culture, Shree Bhavani Aakhada has been a steadfast guardian of our ancient martial and athletic heritage. Rooted deeply in the Guru-Shishya Parampara, our enduring journey is defined by unwavering discipline, profound passion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence passed down through generations by our esteemed Gurus, including our revered founder Shri Vishwamitra Guruji.
What began as a small collective of devoted practitioners has now blossomed into a premier institution. Today, we stand proud, having sculpted thousands of individuals into formidable athletes who champion the timeless virtues of strength, resilience, and cultural pride under the profound guidance of our lineage.

FAQ
What are the age requirements? ▼
We welcome students of all ages. Many of our programs, like Mallakhamb, accept children as young as 2.5 years old, while Yoga and Archery typically start from 6 years onwards.
What are the fees? ▼
Fees start from ₹1,000/month. We offer flexible, competitively priced programmes for each traditional sport.
Is there a trial class? ▼
Yes! You can book a free trial class for any of our disciplines: Kusti, Mallakhamb, Yoga, or Archery. No payment is required for the trial — just show up.
What should my child wear to the first class? ▼
Comfortable workout clothes are fine for the trial. No special shoes are needed. All training equipment is provided by us. After enrollment, we will guide you on the official Aakhada uniform.
Is Mallakhamb safe for a 2.5-year-old? ▼
Absolutely. Our early childhood programme (from age 2.5) focuses entirely on basic motor coordination, balance, and play. Advanced pole work only begins from age 5+. Our Gurus maintain a close student-to-Guru ratio and every child is supervised at all times.
Is there parking near the Aakhada? ▼
Yes — street parking is available on Daftary Road. The Aakhada is a 4-minute walk from Malad (East) railway station and a short auto-ride from Malad Metro station.
